Avanafil is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It belongs to the same class of drugs as sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), and vardenafil (Levitra). Avanafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps men achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated. It does not cure ED or increase sexual desire.
