Bendrofluazide is a thiazide diuretic used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and edema (fluid retention). It belongs to the class of thiazide diuretics, which work by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the distal convoluted tubule of the kidney, leading to increased excretion of water and electrolytes.
