Cefepime is a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death. Cefepime has broad-spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including some strains resistant to earlier-generation cephalosporins.
For the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections, including pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, and intra-abdominal infections.
