Brand: Cefizox, Efizox
Ceftizoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death. Ceftizoxime is effective against a broad range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including some strains resistant to earlier-generation cephalosporins.
For the treatment of bacterial infections such as lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, septicemia, meningitis, and intra-abdominal infections.
