Brand: Selectol, Celipress, Cedral
Celiprolol is a beta-blocker medication primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is a cardioselective beta-blocker, meaning it preferentially blocks beta-1 receptors in the heart, minimizing effects on beta-2 receptors in the lungs. Celiprolol also possesses mild vasodilating properties, which contribute to its blood pressure-lowering effect. It belongs to the class of beta-adrenergic blocking agents.
