Desloratadine is a non-sedating, long-acting tricyclic histamine antagonist used to treat allergies. It is a major metabolite of loratadine and selectively blocks peripheral histamine H1-receptors without anticholinergic effects. Desloratadine provides relief from symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat.
For the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (including seasonal and perennial) and urticaria (hives).
