Dolutegravir is an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) used in combination with other antiretroviral drugs to treat HIV-1 infection. It works by blocking the enzyme integrase, which HIV needs to insert its genetic material into human cells. This prevents the virus from replicating and spreading within the body.
For the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and children.
