Estrofem is a medication containing estradiol, a form of estrogen. It is primarily used in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to alleviate symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and sleep disturbances. It can also be used to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Estrogen is a female sex hormone crucial for reproductive and sexual development. Estrofem helps restore estrogen levels, thus mitigating the effects of estrogen deficiency.
