Fluoxymesterone is a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) that is a derivative of testosterone. It is primarily used in the treatment of hypogonadism and delayed puberty in males. Due to its strong androgenic effects, fluoxymesterone is not generally used in women. It has also been used historically in the treatment of breast cancer, but this use is less common now due to the availability of other treatments.
