Generic: L-DMP
L-DMP (L-threo-3,4-dihydroxyphenylserine) is a synthetic amino acid precursor of dopamine. It's primarily investigated as a potential treatment for Parkinson's disease and other dopamine-deficient disorders. L-DMP is converted to dopamine in the brain, potentially bypassing the dysfunctional dopamine-producing neurons in these conditions. It's considered an investigational drug and is not yet widely approved for clinical use.
