Mitomycin is an antineoplastic antibiotic derived from Streptomyces caespitosus. It acts as an alkylating agent, crosslinking DNA and inhibiting DNA synthesis, leading to cell death. It is used to treat various types of cancer.
Used to treat bladder cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other cancers.
