Brand: Trisequens, Kliofem, Trisequens Forte
Trisequens is a form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) used to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause in women. It contains a combination of estradiol and norethindrone acetate, synthetic forms of the female hormones estrogen and progestogen. Trisequens is a sequential HRT, meaning it delivers different doses of hormones throughout a 28-day cycle, mimicking the natural menstrual cycle. The estradiol component alleviates symptoms like hot flashes and vaginal dryness, while the norethindrone acetate helps protect the uterine lining from overgrowth.
For the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause.
Estrogens, with or without progestins, should be used at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest duration consistent with treatment goals and risks for the individual woman. Regular reevaluation of treatment is recommended. See full prescribing information for complete boxed warning.
