Vinorelbine is a semi-synthetic vinca alkaloid used in chemotherapy. It works by inhibiting microtubule polymerization, disrupting cell division and leading to cell death. It is commonly used to treat non-small cell lung cancer, either alone or in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents. It is also sometimes used to treat breast cancer.

Vinorelbine injection concentrate should not be administered by the intrathecal route. Severe and permanent neurotoxicity, which can be fatal, has been reported with intrathecal administration. Patients with preexisting severe hepatic impairment are at increased risk for serious, life-threatening granulocytopenia.
